CornerStone Academy Learning & Activity Center

CornerStone Academy is a wonderful childcare, learning & activity center for children ages 6wks through 12yrs. At CornerStone Academy, we believe that every child is unique and learns in thier own way! Each of our programs are designed to provide high quality instruction and care, build self-esteem and teach important life skills while providing a fun, safe and exciting atmosphere. CornerStone Academy offers many programs such as: Child Care, Preschool, (Micro-School Before & After School Program) K-6th, Tutoring, Intensive Intervention Reading Programs, Cognitive Testing for ages 8-21yrs old, Teen Life Skills Classes and Coaching, Creative Crafting, and Extended Class Time for Working Parents. New classes will be announced as they become available. In addition to our programs for children, we offer parenting classes and parent support groups. *We are excited to offer transportation for our school age kids starting this fall. Areas we will transport for drop off and pickups from the local schools include: Gooding, North Valley Academy, and Wendell. Summer Camps
4-12Years
No need to play hide and seek for a great summer camp because it is here at the CornerStone Academy's Kids Camp! Our staff is equipped with fun activities to make this a summer full of friends and memories to last a lifetime! We will be making magic in our Mystery Hour, Science, Constructive Creations and Art classes. Be ready to find hidden treasures while on our hiking and nature exploration adventures, nurturing our beautiful garden and playing hard on our park days! Summer Camps are infused with lots of learning opportunities to help prevent the summer slide most kids tend to experience while out of school. Contact the school for additional information on our summer learning programs.
Preschool
In preschool, teaching effectively is arguably more important than at any other time in a child’s education because it is when the child’s educational foundation is established. A key to success is its ability to blend fun and learning in early education—when children are curious, eager to learn, and when their minds are developing rapidly. Contact the school for more information on the strategies and curriculum we use at CornerStone Academy Preschool. We have several program options and also offer extended class time for our preschoolers to help the working parent.
Child Care

Our full-time child care center offers a truly new and innovative concept in child care and preschool education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our preschool program is designed to prepare children ages 3-5 for school. We also offer a before- and after-school program with age-appropriate activities. Our educators are the heart of our program. They strive to provide the best quality learning environment at our learning and activiy center. We believe that it is most important that children feeling secure, relaxed, and happy. Our educators are specially trained in child develpment methods, including how to nurture and support your child's development to achieve these goals.
Educational Programs
We are responding to the current educational crisis by offering a new educational option offering small group, face-to-face instruction: Cornerstone Academy Microschool.
This fall we are launching a microschool, a small tribe of multi-age children K-6th grades who learn, explore, and grow together. Microschools have grown in popularity across America in the last decade. Most microschools are founded by parents and educators who have identified an educational gap for their own children and other children in their community and decide to form a school that fills that need. Microschools typically serve 8-50 multi-age kids but some larger established schools educate up to 150 children.
Progressive
A child who struggles in one area has gifting in other academic areas. Those gifts will be highlighted and strengthened. We use a special mindprint cognitive assessment for each child 8+ which is given during our admissions process by a licensed educator. In addition to the mindprint cognitive assessment the teacher will assess each child at the beginning of the year and determine each child's skill levels. Instruction will be planned that meets your child at their current skills and progresses them throughout the year to be ready for the next school year.
